For
Immediate Release: Woodstock,
IL - October 6,
2004
Leave the laundry, work, and cooking behind for a
one-of-a-kind ladies Death by Chocolate overnight getaway at the
Bundling Board Bed and Breakfast. Surrounded
by the Inn’s early 20th century ambiance, the five course
decadent chocolate dessert evening and sumptuous gourmet breakfast
satisfies even the most discerning chocoholic!
“Death by Chocolate” begins on arrival at the
intimate 1910 Queen Anne Victorian B&B where yummy personal
chocolate treats from Cobblestones on the Square await.
After fortifying themselves with handmade chocolate candies and
other goodies, guests can enjoy shopping on the historic Woodstock
Square, pampering themselves with a massage at Harmony Falls, eating a
light respite at Sweet William’s Tea Room, or catching a play or
concert at the historic 1890’s Opera House.
“We started offering the Death by Chocolate Slumber
Parties” to help women get out of rush mode, have fun with their
girlfriends and indulge themselves with amenities they usually don’t
have,” says Bundling Board Inn owner, Merida Johns.
“Our Inn’s charming décor provides an intimate atmosphere
where ladies feel welcomed and spoiled.
From fresh flowers to scented drawer linings, hand-ironed cotton
sheets, and scrumptious cuisine every detail to make a guest’s visit
memorable has been considered,” adds the Innkeeper.
Guests have traveled as far away as 300 miles to enjoy
the exceptional hospitality and delectable fare offered up during the
Death by Chocolate getaways. “Our
annual trip to Las Vegas was switched this year due to a pregnancy in
our group,” says one lady from Garden City, Michigan.
“I think I may have had more fun eating chocolate
“everything” and chatting with our hosts than many nights in Vegas.
I hope to make this an annual trip for us.”
Another guest says that she was “swept away by everything”
during her Death by Chocolate weekend trip and will be “coming back
with her girlfriends every year.”
“When we hear comments like this,” says Merida, “ we know
that we are offering ladies the ultimate getaway.”
The Bundling
Board Inn continues the tradition of hospitality offered for more than
20 years. The Inn is a
member of the Illinois Bed and Breakfast association (IBBA) and has
passed an on-site inspection meeting a rigorous code of standards that

All rooms have private baths and the Inn has central air and heat
